Trust & Protection

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Before you share your plans or pay a fee, you should know who you are dealing with, where your money goes and what is protected. This page puts it in one place.

Who you are dealing with

Orophile Journeys is a trading style of Greenmountains Trade Ltd. (CBCA #1373422-6), Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Every opinion you receive comes from its founder, Ahmet Can Yeşildağ, personally: more than thirty years of hospitality experience, the Cornell General Managers Program, Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), and Past President of Skål International Baku Club.

What we do, and what we never do

  • We review, advise and design. You receive an independent opinion on the journey you are weighing.
  • You book and pay travel providers directly, under their own terms.
  • We do not sell travel, make or hold reservations, or take payment for flights, hotels, tours or transport.
  • This is not medical, psychological or therapeutic treatment, and it does not replace professional care.

Where your money goes

Your fee pays for advice and nothing else. Prices are published before you commit: the Free Introduction is free and lasts twenty minutes; a Travel Advisory Hour is CA$50 + HST; a Journey Planning Week is CA$250 + HST per journey. Online card payments are processed by Stripe.

Your travel money goes straight to the hotels, airlines and operators you choose. It never passes through Orophile, so nothing that happens to Orophile can put your trip payments at risk.

Regulation and financial protection in Ontario

In Ontario, businesses that sell travel services must be registered with the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO). Orophile does not sell travel services, so it is not a TICO registrant and does not offer TICO protection. The protection that applies to your booking is the one offered by the seller you book with.

Before you pay for travel, check whether the seller is registered at tico.ca, and read its refund, cancellation and insurance terms. If Orophile ever arranges a booking for a client, it will do so only through a TICO-registered agency, and that agency's name and registration number will be published on this page first.

We do not sell travel insurance. When a journey calls for it, we will say so, and you buy it from a licensed provider.

Independence and disclosure

  • Advisory fees are paid by clients, not by hotels, retreats or operators.
  • No place can pay to be recommended. Orophile Edit accepts no payment for editorial coverage, and inclusion is never sold.
  • If a referral or affiliate link may earn a commission, we tell you before you use it.

Proof you can check

  • Client reviews, shown with their Google source
  • How the practice works, step by step
  • Orophile Edit, our independent journal, where the method is written down in public
